West Liberty - Edinboro Recap
West Liberty made a disappointing debut on it's new Mondo Turf today and were whipped by Edinboro 35-10 at renovated Russek Field.
It was the much-anticipated debut of Branden Ore, the transfer from Virginia Tech. Ore carried the ball 13 times for 112 yards and the lone Hilltoppers touchdown. He was also the Hilltoppers leading receiver hauling in 6 passes for 66 yards.
The Hilltopper quarterbacks completed just two passes to wide receivers on the day amassing a mere 149 yards through the air. Starter Zach Amedro was knocked out of the game in the third quarter and did not return. Nick Rocchio ad Nate Woreck did not fare much better. Rocchio was 0-for-3 and sacked once. Worek was 2-for-3 for 34 yards and also sacked once.
Edinboro quarterback Trevor Harris had a big day throwing three touchdown passes and running for another.
West Liberty will look to rebound next Saturday at Walsh University.
