Scouting Report: Carlton Powell, DT, Virginia Tech

Carlton Powell, a senior from Virginia Tech, has the burst off the snap and the leg strength to fight double teams, which he faced many times in college. He is one of the best at keeping eye contact with the quarterback. The big flaws on Powell are that he rises a bit too high and is ridden out of his lane.

Scouting Report

Pros: Has what scouts call “a good feel for the game.”

Cons: Has to build up some more strength in order to fight off double teams at the next level.

Overall: I cannot see teams passing on this young man.
